Outline of Final Research Achievements |
There are few opportunities to receive practical training for maxillofacial palpation in the dental education curriculum. This study aims to develop a virtual training system for maxillofacial palpation. We developed a prototype virtual patient model with mesh free method and a prototype of haptic interface which represents both the shape and the reaction force to trainee's finger.
