Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Environmental regulations such as RoHS are essential considerations in industry, however, it is almost not considered in technology education in secondary schools although the Courses of Study refers the relationship between the technology and both society and the environment. In this study, we develope materials for lead-free soldering in secondary schools: a printed circuit board for soldering practice and an LED light for design excercise. Trial results show that (1) Lead free soldering can be carried out in secondary schools without using expensive temperature controllable soldering irons. (2) 10 hours class of an LED light design can be carried out successfully in technology education.
