Psychodynamic meaning in somatic symptoms and responses of athletes was investigated through case study and modified Grounded theory approach. The results were followed. Their somatic symptoms and responses meant “safety valve” or “limit.” These connected to performance enhancement and personal development or withdrawal. Their somatization showed basic suffering in their athletic activity
