Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Towards minimally invasive blood analysis, a micro sensing system that imitates a mosquito was developed. A micropump was fabricated based on the growth and shrinkage of hydrogen bubbles on a platinum black working electrode. A whole blood sample could be withdrawn through a microneedle. A glucose sensor was integrated on the same chip and the performance was characterized.
