Outline of Final Research Achievements |
With the intent to foster global human resources, we advanced the development of an effective overseas internship program. Students were sent to several exhibitions abroad as volunteer interpreters in order to experience actual business settings. While students participated exhibitions in a few different countries, we noticed that they faced problems of miscommunication. Therefore we conducted questionnair to the students to clarify the issues. Also we conducted interview surveys to professional foreign interpreters to find out what kind of miscommunication they had experienced. We wil introduce the data we collected to students at prior training. Then the internship program will be able to be more effective.
