Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We explore to what extent preference parameters vary with age and investigate what educational characteristics during adolescence are associated with age differences in preference parameters. Using the Japanese panel study of preference parameters, we find a U-shaped relationship between age and time discounting. We also show that educational achievement at 15 years old is associated with age differences in time discounting.
