Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research, we explored extremely low valent iron. We demonstrated that (Sr0.7Eu0.3)FeO2 shows a intersite charge transfer transition, which read mnovalent iron. Around the intersite charge transfer transition, we found that the compound exhibits interesting phenomena, such as a spin transition, an inslator-to-metal transition, a magnetic transition, and a spin flop transition. This indicate that extremely low valent iron can be interesting playground for searching exotic phenomena. In addition, we synthesized new compounds, lanthanoid-substituted SrFeO2 and BaFe2Se2O.
