Outline of Final Research Achievements

Although water-saving technologies is recognised to have the potential to contribute to global food security, their marginal costs and benefits are seldom quantified through rigorous economic methods. This research aimed to develop a modelling framework to enable such estimation for the case of alternate wetting and drying irrigation, one of the most promising water-saving technologies for rice production systems.
