Outline of Final Research Achievements

In order to demonstrate roles of Na+/Ca2+ exchanger(NCX)on macrophages function, we determined whether NCX deficiency affects the cytokine production in bone marrow-derived macrophages response to LPS in vitro. Macrophages from NCX1 heterozygote mice, NCX2 heterozygote mice and NCX3 homozygote mice produced similar levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in macrophages from wild-type.
