Outline of Final Research Achievements |
To develop a drug that can cure neurodegenerative diseases, we screened a chemical library for small molecules that activate proteasomes and promote degradation of misfolded proteins observed in neurodegenerative diseases such as SOD1, tau, and α-synuclein, and identified several promising compounds.
