Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We confirmed that the dermatitis model induced by irradiation and Bone Marrow transplantation (BMT) to Fas- or FasL-deficient mice as I proposed is caused by graft versus host reaction (GVH). BMT was performed between any possible combinations of lpr, gld, and wild type (WT) (lpr>lpr, WT>lpr, lpr>WT, gld>gld, WT>gld, gld>WT)and we discussed about immune disorders including dermatitis observed in the cases of either only host or only graft has mutation in Fas/FasL. When the host mice were RAG-2KO, the bone marrow was reconstituted with the mixture of that of gld mice and WT (5.1) mice and their condition was followed up.
