Outline of Final Research Achievements

Mitochondria have many vital functions, including ATP production, calcium buffering and cell death. In keratinization, it is not well known the relationship of mitochondria and keratin. We investigated Mfn and showed mitochondria move along with keratin via Mfn in keratinocytes. In addition, abnormality of keratin induced defect of mitochondria function.
