Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of sitting posture on competition performance of Boccia players and develop a seating system suitable for improving competition performance. Initially planning to improve the seating surface and wheelchair, but due to the high individuality of each player, it was carried out in another way. For players using “ramp” prosthesis, it was suggested that the performance could be improved by setting the first position of their ramp in consideration of their alignment and holding ability at the sitting posture of the player. Also, in the player throwing himself, not only improvement of the seating surface but also improvement of throwing form by fixing the position of the belt attached to the lower limb was seen.
