Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to investigate the actual status of interactions between Tanegashima island and other regions. This study was conducted mainly by researching on the historical document preserved in Tanegashima island. The results indicate that the premodern maritime movement of goods and people between Tanegashima island and Ryukyu islands was more active than we thought.Through the transportation of goods and the save of drifting ships, there were exchanges between Tanegashima people and Ryukyuans.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
