Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の目的は、現在宇宙で稼働している装置では測定できない超低密度ガスの観測を実現、確立することである。その輝度の暗さから現在の装置では測定が困難な超低蜜度ガスは、宇宙の全物質の総量の半分以上を占めており、その直接観測は宇宙の進化を理解する上で非常に重要である。近年、エネルギー分解能の向上により、低密度なガスの電荷交換反応や共鳴散乱線を探れるようになってきた。これらの輝線構造を用いた低密度ガスの探査方法を、ASTRO-H衛星で初めて稼働が期待される高分散分光器マイクロカロリメータSXSで確立し、さらに大きな集光面積と高エネルギー分解能を有するDIOS衛星で、超低密度ガスの観測を実現することを目指している。
以上のことを実現するため、本年度は、2015年度打ち上げのASTRO-H衛星による観測準備を行った。具体的には、具体的には、マイクロカロリメータSXSのチームメンバーとしての衛星試験参加とサイエンスの検討の両方を行い、電荷交換反応や共鳴散乱線を用いた低光男ガスの解析方法の確立である。さらに、本年度は立教大学が主導している、パルスチューブ冷凍機の作成にも参加した。このシステムでは、2段パルスチューブ冷凍機を用いて2-4 Kの熱浴を実現し、CrKミョウバンを用いた断熱消磁冷凍機によって、センサ動作温度である極低温環境を実現する。本冷凍機開発も、小型衛星に搭載し、太陽や惑星における電荷交換反応の測定を目指している。
