Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Novel β-glucosidases, which showed tolerance to product-inhibition and high temperature, were isolated from environmental metagenomes. A novel β-glucosidase showed unique enzymatic properties and had positive effects on the enzymatic saccharification of lignocellulosic biomass. In addition, thermostability of the β-glucosidase was improved by site-directed mutagenesis.
