Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We evaluated the effects of zinc deficiency on gene expression for T1Rs, sweet and umami taste receptors, using rat circumvallate papilla epithelium by RT-PCR.Zinc deficiency did not affect gene expression for T1R1,T1R2,T1R3. In situ hybridization was performed to investigate the expression and localization of T1Rs. The expression of T1Rs was specifically found in taste cells in taste bud.
