Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Mouse lacking transcription factor A (TFAM) in photoreceptor cells were created to test the importance of the gene in photoreceptors. Interestingly, The TFAM deficient photoreceptor precursors were able to differentiated into cone and rod photoreceptors, but then followed by cone-rod dystrophy phenotypes.
