| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
(1) I have scanned 1,140 letters included in the collections related to ISHII Tsuruzo, which are owned by Shinshu University. These letters were sent to ISHII Tsuruzo by people who were concerned with art education in Nagano Prefecture. I have deciphered and reprinted some of the letters.
(2) I revealed a part of the network of people who concerned with the art education in Nagano Prefecture from the Taisho era to Showa era by conducting a research on the people who sent the letters to ISHII Tsuruzo.
(3) I showed the influence of ISHII Tsuruzo on the education of Nagano Prefecture by examining the articles in “Shinano Kyoiku” (the bulletin of Shinano Kyouiku kai) and other related documents.
