Outline of Final Research Achievements

We studied the mechanism of the induction of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) mediated via antigen cross-presentation by focusing on stimulator of IFN genes(STING). STING involved in antigen cross-presentation in dendritic cell (DC) in vitro. On the other hand, STING contributed less to antigen cross-presentation in vivo. Further, lupus tissue injury was equally induced in STING-deficient mice as compared to wild-type mice after repeated immunization with exogenous antigen.
