Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we had tried to develop new RNA imaging tool using the PPR motif that binds to RNA sequence-specific manner. The basic method for constructing custom PPR protein that binds to any RNA sequence was established. The RNA binding performance of the constructed custom PPR was found to have sufficient performance to function in cultured animal cell. Furthermore, we have established a method for stable expressing GFP fused PPR protein in animal cultured cell. Thus, we were able to build a basic part for PPR-RNA imaging system.
