Outline of Final Research Achievements |
I found that sucrose solution immersion induced abnormally stomata cluster in the cotyledons of Arabidopsis seedlings (Akita et al. 2013). In this study to reveal property of the clustered guard cells cultured in sucrose solution, I focused on intracellular structures in the guard cells. My results suggested that sucrose solution immersion disrupted stomatal distribution pattern but kept characteristics of intracellular structures and fusicoccin response even in clustered guard cells.
