Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A comprehensive dsRNA sequencing method was developed, and RNA virus community in the ocean was assessed. The method enabled us to detect total non-Retro RNA viruses in any cellular sample without host phenotypes. With this method, we detected more than 20 virus genomes, suggesting that unseen RNA viruses should also exist in the ocean.
