Outline of Research at the Start

この研究は、科学史・技術史のグローバルな歴史記述を目指し、オランダが関与した「テリトリー（影響圏）」における「間帝国的な教育的ネットワーク」を検討し、「関係性の提携リスト」を作成する国際共同研究である。
科学史・技術史においてオランダが果たした役割は、日本の蘭学を想起するまでもなく、非西欧世界における影響力も大きかった。だがオランダは単独で（一国主義的に、もしくは二国間交流のかたちで）、近代西欧科学を波及させたのではない。本研究は、オランダの果たした科学技術の世界化（グローバル化）における役割について、特にアジアの観点から、複眼的・多層的な相互作用についての検討である。
