Outline of Research at the Start

江戸時代の画家・池大雅（1723－1776）を研究する上で、昭和35年に中央公論美術出版から出された『池大雅画譜』5冊は、当時の一流の研究者が審査し掲載を決定した作品811点を網羅した基本書となっている。出版事業に伴う作品調査の際のポジフィルム・ネガフィルム・紙焼き写真、研究者の所見メモ、手紙などが近年大量に見つかった。本研究は、劣化が進む前に、整理し、デジタルスキャンし、書などを判読・データベース化することを目指している。今や作品を実見することができない作品の画像や、印章、画譜に掲載されなかった作品資料の情報も加わる。大雅全作品データベースとして公開するための基礎研究である。
