Research Abstract |
The research on the International Economic Conflicts in the Pacific Countries has been started in 1983. In this region, the politics, economics and cultural activities of the developed and the developing countries are now quite dynamic. Therefore many kinds of Conflicts tend to occur. For example, a typical case is the Trade Conflict between Japan and U.S.A.. Moreover the problem of technology transfer from Japan to the developing countries is a very difficult issue. We organized the research project in Economic Research Center of Nagoya University in order to attack these problems. For 3 years, we have investigated into these types of Conflicts and tried to approach them from both Economic and Management points of view. Of course we couldn't cover all the topics because of the nature of these problems and time allowances. Within these limitations, however, we tried to get best performance as possible. The future research on this particular topic will be carried on in the Economic Research Center. So that some resolutions in order to smooth out the Conflicts can be sought out.
