Research Abstract |
The aim of this project was to study experimentally and theoretically the diffusional transformation kinetics from workhardened austenite. As an application the detailed process of several thermomechanical treatments were analized considering the coupling between stress, temperature, and metallic structures. The main subjects studied were (1) hot-deformation structure of austenite, (2) diffusional transformation kinetics from workhardened austenite, (3) transformation kinetics from austenite under applied stress, (4) estimation of grain size from transformation kinetic equations, (5) coupling between stress, temperature, and metalic structures during processes involving phase transformations.
