Research Abstract |
1. Morphological quantitative study in rats. Elements observed in this quantitative study could be classified in two types. The mean diameter, packing density and total area of endoneurial tubes consistentyl decreased after transection. The nuclei number of Achwann cells, fibroblasts and macrophages, also the fascicular area and the total number of endoneurial tubes initially increased and thereafter decreased. 2. The effect of NGF on denervated peripheral nerves in mice. After nerve cutting, the mice were divided into 2 groups consisting of combination of 3 mg/kg 2.5s NGF and the same volume of 50 mM acetate buffer injected. NGF group showed to take up significantly higher CPM of 3H-Thymidine than those of the control at the proxymal and the distal nerve trunk. 3. Culture of Schwann cells. In this field, we did not find out any new observation.
