Research Abstract |
The purpose of the projet is to constract an intelligent fetal monitoring system and a network system for monitoring patints in ICU and analyzing the time series of their monitoring signals. The intelligent fetal monitoring system is realized by distrbuted micro-computer system. One micro-computer converts fetal heart rate and uterine contraction in digital data and evaluate them according to the diagnostic algorithm of the expert physician. Moniroring signals are always displayed on the CRT screen and in the case of dangerous state of the fetus judged by the computer, warning sign are displayed on the screen and the doctor will be called. All tsese signals are fed to the other micro-computer with 10MB hard disk. This computer stores all signal sequence and events and physician and nurce can retrieve all these data according to the clock and and event. After the monitoring process, summarized report is printed out on the paper. In the ICU system, a monitoring mini-computer is connected to the general purpose high performance mini-computer sytem. The revision of monitoring system and precise analysis of monitoring data are now easily performed by the latter computer using the network function.
