Research Abstract |
This research covers various soils throught Japan. The investigaters of this project are so many specialities as soil physics, soil classification, and farm land engineering. The contents of this report are as follows : 1) Physical indexes of reclaimed soil and soil classification in Okinawa. 2) Classification of red and yellow soils according to the components of clay minerals. 3) Engineering pedology on volcanic ash soil. 4) Particle size distribution and retention of soil moisture for the classification of sand-dune soil. 5) Grassland development for the animal husbandry on mountain-sides. 6) Changes of reclaimed soil on the view point of engineering pedology. 7) Application procedures of engineering pedology to irrigation engineering. 8) Changes of the physical properties of heavy clay soil in Hachirogata polder. 9) Classification of low-land soil according to the ground eater level. 10) Temperature gradient near the soil surface and soil productivity. 11) Physical propertis and soil classification. 12) Relation between amorphous materials and physical propertis of soil. 13) Effect of amorphous clay Content on Atterberg limits by air-drying. 14) A view of soil structure of organic Ando soil. 15) Air dried effect on soil compaction. 16) Engineering properties of decomposed granitic soils. 17) Erodibility of "sirasu" soil and volcanic ash soil in Aomori. 18) Soil structure and Atterberg limits.
