Research Abstract |
An intensification in the study of steroid hormone receptors and their molecular mechanisms of aciton has resulted in a great deal of information on how the steroid hormones stimulate cells by controlling the synthesis of particular protein. However, the primary structure of the steroid hormone receptors and their subunits, and the modulators or receptor functions, and regulation of gene expression have not previously been elucidated. Thus, this research project was organized to further the understanding and elucidation of the molecular mechanism of steroid hormone action which underlies the physiological process.
