Research Abstract |
This study aims as follows: how the High-technology makes local industries change,and what the techno-polis policy of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Japan(MITI) introduces . The first year of this research,1984 fiscal year,we had some hearings of MITI , Ministry of Land Policy,the Location of Firm Center of Japan ,Ministry of Agriculture,Forestry and Fishery, and then of Shizuokaken Govornor's Office,Techno-polis Office,Hamamatsu City Office. We had some inquiring travells for the Kyusyu district ( Kumamoto,Ohita,Miyazaki and Kagoshima-Ken) ,where is so-called "Techno-island of Japan" , aiming to research at the policies of local government -s and firms for techno-polis policy. At the same time, we interviewed and inquired the local industries (textiles and weavers,music-instruments,auto-bicycles) and high-techs at Hamamatsu City and its surroundings about introducing high-technology. We sent out questionaire of the appointed agricultural district, the factors of firm location, and published the Indices of Techno-polis References. The second year of the research,1985 fiscal year, we aimed publishing of the research report. We had several meetings of the study as the first year, and settled some subjects of study, for example, Structure of Industry since rapid growth Economy, Development of Techno-polis Policy, and Hamamatsu Area and Techno-polis policy. And then we had additional hearings and concentrated informations of the problem. Lastly, we achieved making up the Repoet, titled HighTech industries and Regional Development.
