Research Abstract

The idea of resonance neutron tomography has been examined using the LINAC & time of flight technique for the resonance neutron beam production, and the transmitted neutrons through the sample specimen have been counted by the one dimensional position sensitive He-3 gas proportional counter and two parameter 64K PHA system.
The radiography data of Cobalt and Gold foils have been successfully obtained using this system, where the two elements have been clearly distinguished using the difference of each resonance energy of 132 eV (Co) and 4.91 eV (Au). The present standard deviation value of the spaciel resolution function has been practically obtained as 1.5 cm including the neutron scattering effect by the specimen itself.
