Research Abstract |
Kohnosuke Matsusita has been said that the social purpose of Matsushita Electric Industrial Company is the extinction of poverty.So he has been been pursued to increase the production. This is Matsushita's philosophy as a producer.Matsushita is regarded as a model of Japanese Management.Masumi Tsuda explained it an oath group,which is the root of 'Communal Life of Enterprise'. We researched into the assebmly line workers of Matsushita Dry Battery Co.,the member of Matsushita Electlic Industry Co.'s group,to understand their relationships to management phiolosophy. As a result of researches,we find out next facts. 1. 'Communal Life of Enterprise' is first of all 'Communal Life of Workplace',not only the oath group.Its framework is given by a structure of shop-floor society,which is organized by the activity of trade union based on the reorganization of working process.Same new assembly line does not give save 'Communal Life of Workplace',because the activity of each trade union is different one another. 2.Matsushita Electric Industrial Workers Union has been thought of their status equivallent to management for the execute of Matsushita's purpose.In the middle of 1960's,the management and the workers union have created the new management-labour relationships,called 'opposing and harmony',Working conditions and working environments have been improved.Then,half of workers in shop-floor say us they have challenging jobs. 3. But,young workers are not interested in their jobs,and two-third of workers are thinking of they don't recommend their children to enter Matsushita Co., These facts show us that 'Communal Life of Enterprise' is influenced,in the long run,by the lifeprocess out of shop-floor. Influences of management philosophy don't allways reach to their children when they select their occupational courses.
