Research Abstract |
The aim of this project was to synthesize acrylic oligomer type surfactants and study their fundamental properties and their application. From the surface tension measurement, most acrylic oligomer surfactants showed break points on the surface tension, indicating the presence of their micelles. Although some of them did not provide any break points on the surface tension, their critical micelle concentration was estimated by the solubilization of iodide. On the dispersion study of pigments, it was confirmed that both inorganic and organic pigments using their oligomer type surfactants could be dispersed more efficiently than using a conventional surfactant.
