Research Abstract |
The goal of this study was to develop a nursing program to minimize a blood pressure fractuation during perioperative perid for surgical patients with hypertention. 1. Measurements of Blood Pressure Fractuation and Identification of the Factors Causing Fractuation; The subjects of this study were 15 patients who had an abdominal surgery. Blood pressures of each patients were taken preoperatively and postoperatively. <Result> Maximam daily fractuation wa observed on the first postoperative day and decreased thereafter for both gruops. This may be a general body response to surgery.Fractuation value according to fractuation factors were high for an insertion of nasogastric tube (30mmHg), a first amburation (28mmHg),and a bed bath (8.5mmHg).It was significantly high for hypertensive gruop. 2. Deveropment of Nursing Program ; For the seven factors (preoprative anxiety, enema, insertion of nasogastric tube, position change, inhalation and cough, bed bath, first amburation ), a nursing program was developed in conbination of innovative use of instruments, technique, and a mascular relaxation. 3. Evaluation of Developed Nursing Program ; The nursing program was tried on seven hypertensive patients having an abdominal surgery. As a result, a daily fractuation value among this group was smaller than the group which received a regular nursing care.A blood pressure fractuation rate for an insertion of nasogastric tube was decresed 15%through the use of this nursing program. Blood pressure fractuation rate for other fractuation factors were also decresed 2 - 13%
