Research Abstract |
The MRI system used in this study is CPX 20tb (Registive magnet,0.477T,Bruker) We analised MR images of various experimental animal models using the pulse sequences of inversion recovery as Tl weighted image (1500/250,1500/500,1500/750) and CPMG as proton density and T2 weighted images (1000/-32,1000/-64,1000/-96). 1) Intracerebral hematoma; The hematoma can be detected within the first 6 hours after hematoma formation, it is not visible on MR image but thereafter again hematoma become visible on MR image. 2) Experimental brain tumor ( Glioma 9L ); The tumor is expressed as prolonged area of Tl and T2 relaxiation times on the MR image but periforcal edimatous zone is also expressed in the same way, making differentiation between them a difficult one. But the enhancing technique using Gd-DTPA ,the edematous area was easily differentiated from the tumor itself. On the bases of the fact that clearance of Gd-DTPA is delayed in the former area. This fact was further substantiated by the experment using experimental autoradiogram using Gd-14C-DTPA.
