Research Abstract |
Recently considerable attention has been directed toward the excellent heat transfer characteristics of fluidized beds, and it has been considered to apply these characteristics to heat exchangers for waste heat recovery in the case of loe temperature differences. The purposes in this study are to improve chatacteristics of heat transfer and to decreease the total power requirement simultaneously. The results of the study have been reported as follows: 1.The effect of vibration has been expressed by dimensionless parameters A <omega^2> /g. 2.By addition of vibration, the bubbles occurance was suppressed, and surcularity motion occured in the beds. 3.The maximum heat transfer coefficients have been improved by proper amount gas flow and vibration. 4.The total power requirement (in which including the power requirement in vibration ) decreases with decreasing of power requirement in blower.
