Research Abstract |
Silkworm has testosten in its hemolymph. More testosterone was contained in male hemolymph than in female hemolymph. In gynandromorph larvat, the storage protein (sp-1) was incorporated equally into female fat body and into male fat body. According to the amount of the incorporated sp-1, gynandormorph in silkworm has a character like inter-sex. Male larvae was more resistant to NPV than female larvae. Cell cycle of the inplanted gonad was changed.
