Research Abstract |
We contrived the method of the reinforcement of affixing the metal plate to the concentrated Parts of stress in the resin base. The results were as follows. 1. In order to investigate the most effective method of the reinforcement, speciments were subjected to the three-point bending test. When the metal plate was affixed to the tensile side with the adhesion resin, the most effective reinfocement was obtained. (reported in the 72th. Japane Prosthodontic Society, 1984) 2. In consideration of the above, the metal plate was affixed to the concentrated Parts of tensile stress in the upper complete denture with the adhesion resin. When the strain of the denture under load was measured, it got much smaller than that of the denture without the reinforcement, and the effective reinforcement appeared.(reported in the 73th. Japan Prosthodontic Society, 1985) 3. The problems coming about in the actual clinical application of this method were examined. The comparatively easy method, which could be expected the great effect of the reinfocement, was contrived. (reported in the 74th. Japan Prosthodontic Society and the Chugok-Shikoku Prothodontic Society, 1985) 4. In order to apply the above-mentioned method of the upper complete denture to that of the lower complete denture, the stress distribution of the latter was measured at first. As a result, the concentrated parts of stress was located in the center (repated in the Chugok-Shikoku Prosthodontic Society,1986) After this, we will study the effective reinforcement method in the lower complete denture.
