Research Abstract |
This study has been done to make clear the basical characteristics, that is, flexural strength, shear resistance, fatigue strength of RC member with the both of steel fiber and hint for improvement of the cracking resistance of RC member at the view point of performance of material, expection the effect of multiplication of each advantages for steel fiber and expansive admixture. The test results in this study can be summarized as follows; (1) The best fiber to improve the ultimate strength, the crack resistance, the flexural crack width and the deflection of the RC beam differed in the type of loading. The indented fiber showed the best effect in improving these characteristics under static loading, but the sheared fiber provided better under fatigue loading. (2) The utilization of expansive admixture improved further the cracking resistance, the crack width and the defiection of the TC beam. (3) The combination of steel fiber and expansive admixture brought the great effect in controlling the crack development of the RC beam in the water under repeated loading. The ability of the combination,as web reinforcement, was expected better at the moment-shear ration of 3.5 than 1.5. (4) As for the RC slab under static loading, steel fiber and expansive admixture increased the punching shear resistance and decreased the deflection. The effect was higher in th indented fiber than in the sheared fiber. (5) Under the repeated loading with low level stress ratio, steel fiber provided the good effect in decreasing the deflection of the RC slab. The sheared fiber provided better in improving the deflection than the indented fiber.
