Research Abstract |
Four Progects were done by this grant: First of all, A new isolation method of the islets from the pancreas without collagenase ddigestion was developed and named "Freeze Dissuptive Separation Method". Second, A new cultured cell line, <VX_2> -A Asahikawa/, in which a planned partner of an islet cell hybridoma was established. But, insulin-releasable hybridoma was not established. Third, An extra-corporal artificial pancreas was examined. Finally, A new cryopreservation system for isolated pancreas islets and cultured cells was developed. This system is an ultra-rapid cooling method using liquid helium that is available in any laboratory and of minimal cost.
