Research Abstract

Fifty- three volunteers(boundary and mild-hypertension),age 20 - 61yr, participated in this study. The subjects were assigned to three groups : Physical training and Low salt diet group(A,N=20),Physical training group (B,N=15), Low salt diet group (C, N=15). A and B group were imposed with bicycle ergometer training for about 20 minutes 3 times a week for a year. A and C group were advised salt-restrictive diet.
The results were as follows : 1, Blood pressure at rest, showed a statistically significant reduction in systolic and diasystolic blood pressure. 2, According to the WHO criteria, it can be said that 55%(11 caces)of A, 46.7%(7 caces)of B, 38.9%(7 caces)of C were regarded as normal range after a year. 3, Rate Pressure Product(RPP) at the same absolute exercise intensity was significantly lower after training in A and B group, but C group no change.
