Research Abstract |
LOGIC IS THOUGHT TO BE THE METHOD AS A USEFUL TOOL IN EVERY ENQUITY, WHATEVERTHE SUBJECT-MATTER IS. THEN IT IS COMMON KNOWLEDGE THAT ARE TWO LOGICS, THAT IS TO SAY, LOGIC OF DIALOGUE AND LOGIC OF ARGUMENTATION, WHICH WERE DISCOVERED AS AND IN GREEK PHILOSOPHY. BUT OWING TO REMARKABLE CHANGES OF INTELLECTUAL SITUATION, THESE LOGICS BECAME SERIOUS TOPICS IN CONTEMPORARY PHILOSOPHERS, EXAMPLES OF WHICH WE CAN FIND OUT IN K.POPPER'S THEORY OF RUFUTABILITY, KUHN'S OR FEYERABAND'S THEORY OF PARADIGM, DERRIDA'S THEORY OF DECON STRUCTION AND HABERMAS' OR APEL'S THEORY OF COMMUNICATION. WHILE LOGIC OF ARGUMENTATION HAS BEEN TAKEN AS THE TRUE SCIENTIFIC METHOD SINCE ARISTOTLE, THE SITUATION CHANGED AND THESE RECENT THEORIES SEEM TO GO INTO THE DIRECTION OF REEVALUATING LOGIC OF DIALOGUE. WHAT WE CONFIRMED THROUGH OUR CO-OPERATION RESEARCH WAS THAT LOGICAL PROBLEMS COULD NOT BE SOLVED WITHIN LOGIC IN A NARROW SENSE AND THAT THEY HAD TO BE TAKEN UP INTO A WIDE HORIZON : OUR SPEECH-ACT OR OUR INTER-SUBJECTIVE LIFE-WORLD ETC. WE MUST CONSIDER THESE LOGICAL PROBLEMS BY ENLARGING OUR POINT-OF VIEW FROM SEMANTICS OR SYNTAX TO THE THEORY OF ACTION OR THE THEORY OF BODY. IF WE DO SO, WE THINK THAT LOGIC OF DIALOGUE AND LOGIC OF ARGUMENTATION SHOULD BE COMBINED TOGETHER COMPLEMENTARILY IN BOTH THEIR ORIGIN AND FULFILMENT.
