ISOLATION AND STRUCTURE ELUCIDATION OF NEW ALLELOCHEMICS FROM ASTEROIDEA, OPISTHOBRANCHIA, NORTHERN EUROPEAN ABIES GENUS AND DINOFLAGELILATE WERE CONDUCTED. FROM THE WATER EXTRACT OF THE STARFISH ASTERINA PECTINIFERA, FOUR NEW STEROIDAL OLIGOGLYCOSIDE SULFATES(P-A, -B, -C, -D) WERE OBTAINED IN A PURE STATE. ON THE BASIS OF CHEMICAL AND SPECTROSCOPIC EVIDENCES, P-A AND P-D WERE DETERMINED AS OLIGOGLYCOSIDE SULFATE OF THORNASTEROL A AND ASTERONE, RESPECTIVELY, POSSESSING NEW OLIGOSACCHARIDE, AND P-B WAS REGARDED AS OLIGOGLYCOSIDE SULFATE OF EPOXY STEROL HAVING UNIQUE BRANCHED OLIGOSACCHARIDE. P-C WAS OLIGOSACCHARIDE SULFATE OF NEW STEROL, 24(S)-ETHYL- THONASTEROL A. FROM THE SAME WATER EXTRACT, FOUR KNOWN AND TWO NEW POLYHYDROXYLATED STEROLS WERE ISOLATED. THE LATTERS WERE DETERMINED AS NEW 5<ALPHA>-CHOLESTANE-OCTOL AND PENTOL, RESPECTIVELY, FROM CHEMICAL AND SPECTROSCOPIC EVIDENCES. FROM THE BODY WALL OF A OPISTHOBRANCHIA, APLYSIA KURODAI, TWO NEW AND ONE KNOWN POLYHALOGENATED MONOTERPENOIDS WERE OBTAINED IN A PURE FORM, AND THEIR RELATIVE CONFIGURATIONS WERE CHARACTERIZED BY MEANS OF CHEMICAL AND SPECTROSCOPIC EVIDENCES. THE ABSOLUTE CONFIGURATION OF ONE OF THE NEW COMPOUNDS WERE DETERMINED BY X-RAY CRYSTALLOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS. THESE MONOTERPENCOIDS SHOWED ICHTHYOTOXICITY. FROM THE MID GUT GLAND OF THE SAME ANIMAL, TWO NEW SESQUTITERPENOIDS WERE ISOLATED AND CHARACTERIZED. FROM THE HEXANE EXTRACT OF A NORTHERN EUROPEAN ABIES GENUS, ABIES ALBA, 3<ALPHA>-HYDROXY ABIETOSPIRAN, ABIETOSPIRAN AND DEHYDROABIETIC ACID WERE OBTAINED AND IDENTIFIED. ABIESLACTONE WAS ISOLATED FROM THE SAME GENUS, ABIES FIRMA. THE DINOFLAGELLATE(RED TIDE PLANKTON) WAS IDENTIFIED AS GYMNODINIUM 65, BUT THE CHEMICAL RESEARCH WAS SUSPENDED BECAUSE OF LACK OF THE PLANKTON.
