Research Abstract |
Currently, two different type, mode-locked and Q-swiched Nd: YAG laser systems permitting noninvasive incision of transparent intraocular structures are commercially available. We performed a series of experiments designed to study the performance and safety of Nd-YAG lase systems. The results presented here are helpful to understand the nature of photodisruption when applied in clinical use.
