| Research Abstract |
正常人の赤血球は, 加齢と共に溶血が起り消失してゆく. この老化に伴う生化学的変化を, 赤血球中で起るヘモグロビンのヘム環の酸化開裂に契機があるとする機構を考察するところに本研究目的がある. 従って本研究の主な仕事は, 赤血球中にヘム由来の酸化分解物質を前年度に引きつづき検索した. その結果, ヘムのプロトポルフィリン環のβとδ位メテン基が酸化開裂したプロペントダイオペント(各々のピロール環にメチル基とプロピオン酸残基をもつ)が存在することを明らかにした. この結果を赤血球の老化と関連させ考察した.
