Research Abstract |
We developped an all-quarts laser angiosope for transuminal cornary laser angioplast. The laser angioscope consists or a leaser suide with image guide quartz-fibers fused together into a long flexible tube. For more precise control of laser energy absorption, a focused and low-energy Nd-YAG laser can be used to remove focal thrombus from experimentally created arterial thrombi without excessive intimal traumatic injuries.
