Research Abstract |
1.audio-visual materials including audio-visual tapes and printed materials were collectid and shot through four Asian countries such as Korea,Thailand the Philippines in order to produce "Asian Societies: Rice production and people'slife",a series of educational TV programs of Japanese University of the Air. 2.The setbook system,a type of multipurpose texbook were developed and implemented for TV cource of the programs.The system has not used in Japanese distance higher education. 3.International co-production systems among several open universities of the four countries were attempted for making the programs.Methods and policies were developed for maximizing the effectiveness on the program production and communication among working staff with different cultural backgrounds. Based on the methods and policies,the materials collected through the project will be used by each institution of the four countries. 4.Frameworks of measurment for describing and evaluating audio-visual programs using multimedia in different educational systems were developed and tested by research participants from the foreign institutions.
