| Research Abstract |
In view of growing necessity for proper management scheme of mangrouve resources.the research project on"Species Biological Studies of Mangrove Ecosystem in East Indonesia, 1985-87"was carried out.A preliminary survey was done in August and September,1985.Main field work was planned and carried out in August through October,1986.Follow-up survey was done in March,1987.
The subjects of research were I.Algal Flora Associated with Mangroves,II.Ecology and Behavior of Benthic Fauna,Crabs and Molluscs,and III.Forest as an Ecosystem,its Structure and Function.The results of the studies "BIOLOGICAL SYSTEM OF MANGROVES,A REPORT OF EAST INDONESIAN MANGROVE EXPEDITION,1986" were published in March,1987.
